The 5th Anniversary of the Toronto International Flamenco Festival is happening October 15th - 25th in Toronto, Canada. This annual festival celebrates both International and Canadian Flamenco with workshops, performances and other activities.
The Toronto International Flamenco Festival is a Not-for-Profit organization working to increase the popularity of Flamenco dance in North America by creating a comfortable environment for both spectators and artists. Each year, the festival brings together artists from all around the world to celebrate this powerful yet graceful dance on the main stages of Toronto.
The festival was founded by Lionel Félix in 2007 and is the first of its kind in Canada. It is modeled after the world famous Festival Flamenco Internacional de Albuquerque in New Mexico and The New York Flamenco Festival.
On Thursday, October 20th at 8pm, there will be a live performance at The Royal Conservatory, TELUS Centre for Performance and Learning, Koerner Hall, 273 Bloor Street West, Toronto, ON. Ticket prices range from free to $265 for workshops and from $25 - $90 for the performance.
