Old Market, also known as the Arts and Entertainment District, is one of the top tourist destinations in Omaha, Nebraska. Located along 10th street in the downtown area, Old Market is lined with activities including antique stores, art galleries, flower shops, home furnishings, coffee shops, restaurants, music stores and more. In addition to the entertainment appeal, the buildings are still in their original “turn of the century” form. The architecture is a charming addition to the area’s artsy character.
On the first Friday of every month, a free Art Walk takes places in the Old Market district. This gives visitors an opportunity to meet with artists and peruse numerous galleries. Other entertainment events include the farmers market, art openings and theatre performances.
