Beginning in June of 1977, the Utah Arts Festival in Salt Lake City has grown to be the largest outdoor arts event in the state. The event has earned awards internationally, nationally and locally and is considered the way to start the summer in Utah.
Each year, about 80,000 people go to enjoy the 4-day event that features over 140 visual artists, over 100 performing artists, and over 18 culinary artists. These artistic displays are great for adults, but children can also engage in activities. Taking place in the Art Yard, local nonprofits have hands-on projects for kids. Teenagers can also try their creative skills at the Urban Arts Venue. These are great ways to encourage the young towards expression through art.
This year, the event takes place on June 21-24. In honor of this, the festival is offering a special deal on the 4-day passes. On Tuesday, April 24th, you can buy one 4-day pass for $15 or two 4-day passes for $25, which will save you about half of the original ticket price.
At this popular event, any member of the family can find a variety of art to connect to. For any artwork that you decide to take home, call Navis to pack and ship it for you!
