Navis Pack & Ship of Annapolis recently won a competitive bid to crate artwork for the Architect of the Capitol at the US Botanic Gardens in Washington, DC. The artwork consisted of replicas of buildings in Washington, DC that were constructed of natural materials (sticks, leaves, acorn caps, moss) and were on display as part of the Botanic Gardens “Holiday Magic” exhibit. Below are photographs of some of the artwork that was crated by Navis.
"White House"
"Smithsonian Castle"
"Jefferson Memorial"
The job itself took two men four days--two offsite to build the crates and two onsite to assemble the crates, load/pack the artwork, and close the crates. The crated items will be stored offsite in a government warehouse until next year. Navis Pack & Ship of Annapolis was thankful for the opportunity to provide specialty services to the US Botanic Gardens and for the cooperation and assistance they received from the US Botanic Gardens Staff .
