Navis Pack and Ship Philadelphia franchise owners, Peter and Rebecca Michaelson are proud to announce that they were selected to package, crate, and ship a local artist’s work across the country.
Philadelphia artist James Dupree is known for creating large-scale pieces that are saturated with color and dense with overlapping shapes, patterns and textures. His latest piece: “Evolving Elements”, is made up of twenty panels and, as a whole, it is 8 feet tall and thirty feet wide. This installation has been on display at the Philadelphia International Airport and will now be loaned to the Portland International Airport in Oregon to be displayed there. The artwork is valued at $210,000.
When trying to decide on who to hire for the daunting task of shipping his valuable artwork across the country, Dupree said it was not a tough decision at all: “I chose Navis Pack and Ship of Philadelphia based on their excellent reputation in the area. After speaking with other artists and gallery owners in the Philadelphia art community, I knew that they were the best people for the job. They provide superior results for a reasonable price and there is no better combination when shipping something as fragile and valuable as artwork”.
“Evolving Elements” will be packed and shipped in 20 individual panels by Navis Philadelphia and sent to Oregon. For more information about Navis Pack & Ship, visit them at Navis Pack & Ship, 780 Primos Avenue, Unit A, Folcroft, PA 19032, online at Gonavis.com/about/pa1104 or call (610) 534-0750.
