In Atlanta, Georgia, Chastain Park is affluent with art enthusiasts. This is known as one of the largest art buying communities in the area. For the third year in a row, Chastain Park will hold the Buckhead Spring Arts and Crafts Festival celebrating artists from all over the southeast.
Types of arts and crafts at the festival include 185 painters, sculptors, photographers, antiques, furniture makers, glass blowers, jewelers, leather and metal craft persons, along with many others. Those attending can watch live artist demonstrations, live entertainment, create arts and crafts and taste the many foods and beverages available.
The goals of this festival include giving back to the community, promoting local art, creating an event for the community, and giving artists an opportunity to assist in organizing an event. In addition to these goals, the proceeds from the festival benefit a scholarship fund for local artists.
This year, the festival takes place on May 5th from 10am-7pm and May 6th from 11am-6pm. Admission is free and it is encouraged to bring your kids and dogs as well!
