All Spring and Summer long in Columbus, Ohio, you have the opportunity to experience exotic butterflies emerge and be released into Franklin Park Conservatory's Pacific Island Water Garden. Several species from all over the world will flutter around you and feed on beautiful, tropical flowers in the garden. You can even enjoy sipping on cocktails on the rooftop gardens in between butterfly releases.
The butterflies are released daily at 1pm, and at 3pm, monarch butterflies will be released in the Pollinator’s Garden, (weather-permitting), along with an educational presentation. You will be able to witness as dozens of caterpillars complete the metamorphosis into butterflies right before your eyes.
