International shipping can be stressful for anyone due to the maze of paperwork and specific requirements that must be met. At Navis Pack & Ship, we often receive questions from customers regarding our International Shipping program. Here are some of our most common FAQ’s:
Do you have to be licensed for International Shipping?
Yes. Navis Pack & Ship is licensed and certified by the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC), a government agency that regulates all ocean carriers and tariffs. Our license number is 020283NF. When dealing with any service provider, be sure to ask that they are fully licensed by the FMC to handle your ocean shipping.
How long will my International Ocean Shipment take?
A typical time frame is 4-6 weeks. This can vary somewhat by destination and be impacted by ship sailing schedules and weather.
How long will my International Air Freight Shipment take?
A typical time frame is 7 – 10 days depending on the destination.
Can you provide crating for International Shipments?
Yes, we provide ISPM-15 compliant wood packaging.
If I do not have enough to fill a full container load, do I still have to pay for the full container?
No. Navis can accept shipments that are less than a container load. Your shipment will be shipped or consolidated with other shipments going to that same country.
