Art Museums
If you’re looking for art museums in Last Vegas, you have most definitely come to the right city. The Gallery of Fine Art at the Bellagio is renowned for having some of the world’s most prestigious art pieces. Until October 26, the museum will be featuring “Painting Women: Works from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.” The display will highlight legendary female artists like Georgia O’Keefe and Berthe Morisot. For an artistic look into the vibrant history of signage in America, visit the Neon Museum on Las Vegas Blvd.
Children's Museum
There are also tons of enthralling Las Vegas museums for kids including the Discovery Children’s Museum on Promenade Place. Over 2.1 million people have visited the museum and for good reason. The educational 58,000 square-foot building has nine exhibition halls that cover everything from scientific patents, a toddler town, eco sustainability, young art, to even a mysterious small town. From now until September 1st, the Discovery Museum is also exhibiting “A Magical School Bus” display featuring an innovative weather exhibit.
Las Vegas Natural History Museum
But for kids, the good times don’t have to stop there as the Las Vegas Natural History Museum is a bastion of historical treasures that is fun for the whole family. Located on Las Vegas Blvd., the museum proudly displays several animal exhibits that include dinosaurs, international wildlife, and marine life.
The Mob Museum
Of course, Las Vegas is also going to have a less-traditional museum or two. For an offbeat museum that is equal parts entertaining and educational, visit the Mob Museum on Stewart Ave. The museum is located in the center of Las Vegas and features interactive exhibits, theater presentations, and an in-depth history of the mob’s influence on the city.
