Bananas are good for your health, convenient to carry, sweet in flavor, rich in potassium and a great energy source. Which means it’s the perfect fruit to celebrate! Sacramento is doing just that on August 18th and 19th with the 3rd annual Banana Festival.
At this festival, you can taste numerous banana inspired creations including banana hamburgers, banana pudding, banana cobbler, banana and mango salsa, chocolate covered bananas, and many others.
In addition to the food, there will be live entertainment both days with shows such as dancers, drummers, a reggae band, and chef’s challenge. There will be a Banana Festival Queen, a Banana Run, a Banana Festival Art Exhibition, an Open Air Marketplace, children’s entertainment, a magic act, and Educational Exhibits.
